Garden Glass Sculpture ideas using Glass Objects?
Question by iphoneiiii1770: Garden Glass Sculpture ideas using Glass Objects?
Does anyone have any ideas using pieces of glass glued together to form projects like bird feeders and garden art.
If you could please post a link of photos within these terms.

A major problem with gluing up glass for outdoor use is the relatively low level of UV tolerance of most glues. Even those with UV protection built in, such as UV800 suggest painting for further protection. And of course, you can’t paint the side against the glass and the UV goes through. I have had fairly good luck with Goop Marine, which has some UV protection in it.
The adhesives that would likely be most effective, those that actually cure with UV, are, unfortunately, mostly very thin and require exact fitting of the glass together.
I make stuff that is fused, but it turns out that much window glass varies so it isn’t compatible with similar looking glass.

Could also use pattern or plans to make myself. Could use a drawing, any size, but must be in silhouette.

put up some large sheet of paper (e.g. packing paper) onto a wall. Shine a light onto the wall, stand in front of it, so your shadow falls upon the wall, strike the pose you want and have a friend draw along the line of the shadow. Voila, a pattern.

Sculpture Garden – 15 Minute Photo Challenge
Follow me on Twitter: twitter.com Facebook: www.facebook.com Website: www.gavtrain.com Camera Canon 5D mark2 Lens: Canon 24-105L Strap: Black Rapid RS-7 A sculptor’s garden is the venue for this mystery 15 minute photo challenge and this time I had to battle the elements to get the photos. For me simply recording the sculptures wasn’t an option, I wanted to add my own creative touch by using creative compositions, angles and exposures. I’ll let you judge if I succeeded.
What are the statues in the Columbia college sculpture garden in Chicago?
Question by fastcurrent: What are the statues in the Columbia college sculpture garden in Chicago?
A friend and I happened across a small pocket park while exploring the city, and we want to know what the sculptures represent. There are three dogs, (fox?), one reading with a bird on his shoulder, a desk and chair, several balls, and a genie or gargoyle on a post. We think they must be out of some tale, but cannot think of what, does anyone know what they mean and who made them? The only info I have is that it is called the sculpture garden and is part of the school. Maybe student made?
I did email the school, waiting on reply

In any case of a small park on a college’s grounds, asking the college is the best method
Curiously, a search on the final words of your question brings up this rather incomplete page http://www.colum.edu/About_Columbia//Visit/Maps_-_Building_Directories/11th_and_Wabash_Sculpture_Garden.php
which may be the one you have in mind, but who can tell?
Backing up the sequence to maps on that page and then following a link, puts us on this page http://g.co/maps/667az of Google maps and using street view (if it does not come up with the link) shows a park with ball and other statues, but zoom doesn’t take us in very far to see better.
So back to asking Columbia – at least it’s official.

Should Disney World have an ice sculpture garden for winter?
Question by hollow chocolate prius: Should Disney World have an ice sculpture garden for winter?
Would an ice sculpture garden with Disney characters be a good attraction for winter? Already in Orlando a hotel called Gaylord Palms has an indoor exhibit of ice sculptures but I would like Disney World to offer an exhibit. The price for the Gaylord exhibit is $ 20 and the parking fee is $ 12 which is more than I want to spend.A Disney World ice exhibit could produce an economy of scale that would eliminate fees.Disney World sells rain ponchos so for this ice exhibit they could sell cold ponchos made of foil for insulation. No jokes about bringing Walt Disney out of frozen storage.
