My bedroom is not very big, but I have enough room to design a bit. I was wondering what type of paint for the walls, possible art, posters, etc. may go well with a red rug. I cannot change the rug because we are renting the house, but I want to re-do my room. I’m 21, I love vintage film, and I was thinking simplicity but a “wow” effect. Please help.

I love it too…you can do a rich, deep, but not too dark purple on the wall. Lots of pillows in soft and silky textures. think velvet and silk…tassles. Round pillows, square pillows… Get a cheap chandalier type lamp- to either hang from the ceiling over your bed or you can by table lamps that look like one. Find old prints to hang on the wall of people or magazines from old hollywood, old advertisements…you can look online and color print them and frame them- try going to garage sales and thrift shops to pick up items. Look for guilded mirrors and the old brush and mirror sets. Do curtains that are textured or patterned…. With red carpet (and I love red carpet) you can do colors like purple, black, whites, pinks…so don’t be afraid to use bright colors as well. You can get a throw rug to put over it to cut down on the red.

Ok I’m a little puzzled. Why is my greenhouse cooler inside then outside of it at night? Is this normal? Its a 10×20 Poly Film. The walls are not sealed to the roof as this one uses budgies to attach it to the frame. I assumed when I ordered it everything would be sealed together. So obviously I will have to do something before fall. So even though air can easily blow in, especially when its windy, I cannot imagine why its cooler inside then outside at night. At least that’s what the thermometers are reading. This was just put up so their isn’t much in it yet. And yesterday It got to freezing temps at night. I stuck my buddy heater in it. It did not warm it up very well at all. At first I tried low, then high, And it seemed like it was still cooler inside, at least on the opposite end of the heater. I did place a fan behind the heater which did help and warm it up a little warmer then the outside, but not as much as I expected for 9000 btu’s. I didn’t expect it to get roasting warm, ut I did expect a noticeable difference. So why without a heater, it is cooler inside at night, even though daytime it will get hot in their.

At night the calm air inside in combination with the surface of the greenhouse will allow heat to be lost a little faster than the outside air, especially if there is a breeze outside. The outside breeze mixes the air and reduces the amount of radiational cooling, which does not happen inside the greenhouse.

its always going to be cooler at night but if you want to retain the day time heat better you have to get it sealed up.

Question by My two cents: How can I design my own house inside & out?
I want to get a software program that will let me design my own house with furniture and all so i can determine how much space i want in each room. And i also want to design the outside of the house like patio,pool and pool house to determine how much land i will need. But most important I want a big attic and basement.
