We are selling in two and a half years and are about to get our house painted. Anyone have any advice on the best Behr brand paint colors to use for the exterior? (body and trim?)

We live in an area that gets a lot of dust from ocean breezes – so we picked out a color that wouldn’t show the dust as much.

Okay, there is a metal ring with cardboard strips and each strip will have several hues of a similar color. I want to buy one to look at colors but I cannot figure out what they are called. Does each paint supplier have a different one of these? Is there anywhere on the internet where I can order one?

I thought orignially that a cooler color would balance out the gold, but they kind of clash. I need a couple of suggestions for colors that are on the warm color palette that will look good next to the bungalow gold! Please, include links or pics if possible. Thanks!

I think you made a good choice with the blue you might have just the wrong shade of blue. I found a blue that I think would work. view link below. also, here’s a warmer color, if you want to do something else. the second link is a red. look for inspiration in textiles it can point you in the right direction.

it’s a golden brown color, like the color of a loaf of baked bread. It’s a small room (12 x 15) that we use as a playroom/family room. I have a really hard time choosing paint colors!

My room is quite small and there are a lot of wood furnishings in it
I don’t know the exact name of the colour, but it is a lemon cream. Golden Rose or something like that. It looks very good to.

Contact Valspar customer service directly and ask them for the color selections. If the CS contact seems oblivious to your question, ask to be transferred to the marketing department. They spend a lot of money getting their name out and will know exactly what information you want, and will be pleased that they have made a solid hit with you.

I once read that the colors of the baby’s nursery room can influence the career path it chooses. I also read that the colors can affect their moods. Like too much yellow can be overwhelming and green is peaceful. I also read that the shapes, bright colors, and other objects in the baby’s room can stimulate its brain.
I just read about llighting affecting a child. One source says the more lighting the better but another source says dim lighting is best. Which of these sources are correct?

i think they can or maybe the affect your mood when around your baby I know that the color blue would bring me down if its a dark blue, a light blue would be fine. I would stick with nice soft colors, no super brights to keep your baby awake, oh and extra lighting could help too

Take a look at any wal mart store “the building itself”. they have the color schemes you are talking about and they have spent millions to find out what the most peaceful relaxing colors are. match the color from the inside of their store for the most relaxing color .

I have seen on home repair shows that there is a product that you can paint over the edges of painters tape. When you do, it keeps the 2nd color from bleeding onto the first color. The demarc line between the colors is crisp and very, very clean.

I don’t think it’s anything special just a regular roller. It is a blue painter’s tape that is rolled and packaged like masking tape but it’s blue and you’ll find it in the painting section. The trick is to make sure one layer of paint is dry before you apply the second color and make sure the tape is seated securely first.
