Fruiting Chamber temperature and humidity control ~ Cultivating Mushrooms Indoors
My technique for heating my fruiting chamber and maintaining humidity. Great for fruiting most species of mushroom. Yummy! My fruiting chamber slides in perfectly at the bottom of my indoor greenhouse.

Great idea – beats perlite! Do you still have to fan the chamber or does the pump send in fresh air all of the time? Do you still dunk and roll your cakes?
It is futile to talk about condensation on the interior of the fruiting chamber as though it were an index of humidity. It is nothing of the sort. A red herring. It is possible to have a fruiting chamber at 100% humidity with little visible condensation. In fact, it is DESIRABLE to have a chamber at 100% humidity with little visible condensation.
@blakeinkzoo i prefer low maintenance. I invented this so as to not have to use perlite.
You could put down bleached perlite to set your cakes on.
it pops out nice and easy
you know i never had good luck with the taal and skinny 1/2 pint pf jars, they never fruit that goog, i dont know why though, too bad because i made a bunch of similar glass jars to those by using a bottle cutter to cut the tops off of a few cases of corona beer bottles, but i think the 1/2 pint jars that are short and wide work alot better, i use either ball or kerr, the ball tapered and he kerr are not,but both birth cakes easy, even thought the keer dont have tapered sides, the cake shrinks so it
funny thing is even with the 5 levels of wire shelves, and 5′ high by 2′ wide by 1′deep chamber aprox. i had to use a control valve even with the humidifier on the lowest setting ,it only needs a trickle maybe not even 10% of the output on the low setting,on high i imagine skys the limit,i use a medical o2 mask hose connected to a old fashioned brass garden hoze nozzel to connect the ultrasonic to my terrarium &to control the flow of humidity, the hoze nozzel is almost closed
THATS your fruiting chamber?what is that green wire shelf behind it?it looks like one of those 4 level greenhouse shelf things, you could use that instead, just cover it with plastic,i used the kind you put on your windows in winter, its nice and thick and clear, its called frost king, and its cheap, you can get it at home depot or lowes,i have a 5 level chamber, that can do about 10 dozen cakes, but i only use cakes to start, then i inoculate grain jars with my full colozized cakes,& use an ultrasonic
@movieofmenywatch Over 1 year now, I have known how to grow them correctly.
How long have you grown your own mushrooms
