Agrophobic at home.? What is happening to the children?
Question by Home treasure: Agrophobic at home.? What is happening to the children?
Is there a point where the condition cannot be ignored any longer? Her children do not go out, only to the shops for food. No playing or mixing with other children as educated at home. Garden is the only fresh air(?) by main road!
Please reply if you are agrophobic, are an older child of someone agrophobic or family member or friend. Also professional opinion welcome as I have not consulted anyone yet.
Unfortunately I am personally involved. Not my choosing!

The correct spelling is agoraphobic and it means that you are afraid to go out of your home. Your case would seem more like a case of poor socialization rather than agoraphobia.
that’s ridiculous, I understand if she feels this way and can’t help it but #1 she should be getting therapy for it to help overcome it #2 she can arrange for playdates at her house or people coming to pick up the children every other day or something so that they can get out and enjoy life!
Don’t they go out in the yard and play or anything? My kids do in the backyard almost EVERY day of the year, I watch them from the window if I don’t feel like going out there.
