This attitude is tantamount to me claiming that tires explode when driven more than 10 feet, 3 meters, at a time. Now you don’t know for sure that if you drive more than 10 feet at a time your tires will explode but you decide that until it is proven otherwise you’ll stop your car every 10 feet– just to be safe.
Does this make any sense given a comparative analogy? There is a term for this kind of behavior; it is called Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
You definitively can reduce the amount of greenhouse gases emitted to provide your lifestyle. It may or may not stop global warming.

For young people often the most important service is to study environmental science. The individual manual things you do today will contribute, but the need for long term wisdom is far greater.

There are so many different things you can do, but I think some of the best are carpooling, recycling everything in site, reusing as much as possible, taking shorter showers to use less water, and simple things like turning lights off when you’re done with them.
